DEVELOPING FUTURE EQUESTRIANS

At Pony Tales we believe every equestrian has the potential to achieve whatever they dream to be. We are passionate about teaching correct basic riding skills to set the foundation for becoming a competent rider for pleasure or competition. Our aim is to teach children how to ride effectively so they are safe in their chosen equestrian field. Our goal is to facilitate growth in the equestrian sport on the Kapiti Coast.

Whether it’s your child’s first time on a pony, you are looking to strengthen their skills or get out into competition we have the facilities, instructors, and pony sizes to help achieve these goals while developing leadership, resilience and self-confidence in a supportive and fun environment.

Holiday Programmes

Pony Tales school holiday programme is structured on a play-based learning environment as opposed to the more formal term lessons. Each rider will be given their own pony for the day where they will learn basic horsemanship and pony care working towards becoming a confident handler.

PURPOSE-BUILT EQUESTRIAN FACILITIES

Pony Tales is located in the beautiful Reikorangi Valley on our 100-acre working farm Koharangi (gift from heaven).

Our Facilities include:

60 x 20 meter floodlight indoor Dressage arena, 60 x 40 meter outdoor floodlight Jumping arena, 500-meter training track, Indoor Stables, Covered yards, Outdoor yards, and River trek.
